Dav's Delicias How can we help a small bakery generate more sales? To assist Dav's Delicious, a small bakery in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in boosting online sales and visibility, our focus as UX designers has been on streamlining the user experience and enhancing the online presence.
Brief Create a website for a small business and prototype an interactive mid-fi wireframe flow, showcasing the purchase process of one product which is being sold on the website.
Team Filiz Karabulut, Iris Santos & Myself
Stakeholder Interview We created a script of questions by prioritizing the insights we need, and how we should formulate the questions to gain valuable insights we need to move on. After finalizing the guide, we conducted the interview with our stakeholder. She was very excited to get support on increasing her online visibility.
User Research To define and learn about the user, we brainstormed on questions and created a online survey. The results of the survey actually matched most of our assumptions about the current user flow. We learned, that customer want to be able to get all informations about the product, the availability and the price up front, before deciding to purchase the product. The users also prefer to avoid personal contact with the business.
User Persona With all the insights we learned about our user, we created a user persona which helps us to be objective about this project.
User Journey At the moment, the user has to dm Dav’s Delicious on instagram to get in touch. The business then replies by providing a catalog with options like flavor, color and size to choose from. The customer then chooses his preferred options and submits them via instagram. After a while (sometimes a day), Dav’s Delicias confirmes the order and tells the customer to transfer the money. After at least 7 days the cake will be ready for delivery or pick up.
Brand Attributes & Moodboard We analized the business and the brand values of Dav’s Delicious to create a moodboard, which communicates the tone and feeling of the business and provides as a guide for the look & feel of the website we are creating.
User Flow "happy path" We created a user flow concentrating on the purchase process of a customized Bento-cake. As we learned from the user, it's required to show all the informations about the cake already at the beginning and follow the path of ordering a cake without personal contact.
Low Fidelity Prototype We built a lo-fi Wireframe according to our user flow and turned it into a interactive prototype which we iterated on. After several discussions and adjustments, we were ready to turn our lo-fi frames into mid-fi wireframes.
